The Toronto Catholic District School Board offers credit courses under the OSS curriculum guidelines. Parents and students must consult with their day school guidance counsellor or vice-principal/principal regarding their course selections, prerequisite courses and diploma requirements. Course selections must be made in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum guidelines. Diploma requirements and course descriptions are listed on the Ontario Ministry of Education Web site: 


The TCDSB reserves the right to cancel a class.  A preliminary list of cancelled courses will be available on Friday, June 26, 2020. It is the student's responsibility to check our website for a list of all cancelled classes.

We are offering the following type of credits this semester:

​Types of Courses ​Description
​Open to all high school students and adults with the appropriate pre-requisites, students may take a new credit, or re-take a course previously attempted to upgrade a mark. Students may register for a maximum total of three new credit courses this summer (for example: two courses during July session and one course during August session). Due to the workload of each course, we recommend students only register for one course per session.  
These courses enable students who have not been successful during the regular school year to obtain one full credit by repeating 55 hours of instruction. Students wishing to improve a passing mark may also take these courses that has been attempted during the 2019-2020 school year. Students may register for a maximum of two upgrading credit courses this summer during session one.​
Summer school eClass online learning courses through BrightSpace (D2L) will be held on the following dates.

Additional Program Information 



Regular attendance and participation in content by logging into D2L by Brightspace are mandatory. Students are expected to log in on a daily basis and may spend a minimum of 3 hours per course per day. Students who do not login on the first session of classes may forfeit their place in the course. Students who are unable to login must email for assistance.



All students will be required to complete a final assessment.  Students that are unable to fulfill this condition will be considered not to have completed the course.


The announcement of report card pickup will be posted on your classroom website. TCDSB students will have their marks automatically uploaded to their home school and TCDSB grade 12 students will have their marks automatically uploaded to OUAC/OCAS sites on specific dates which will be posted on your classroom website.
NON-TCDSB Students: Students MUST bring their report card to their home school or transcript office. Contact your school board or guidance department/vice-principal/principal regarding this procedure. The homeschool or transcript office will add the course to the transcript or upload to OUAC/OCAS.
A copy of the report card may be obtained by calling the Continuing Education Department. A $10.00 fee will apply. Additional copies of your report card can be obtained by using the Report Card Request Form. A $10.00 fee will apply.


PLEASE NOTE: The final opportunity to review and discuss summer school results with your teacher is:
July Session: Friday, July 31st
August Session: Friday, August 28th
NO MARKS will be re-evaluated after the review date.

Course Fees

Non-TCDSB International VISA students must email us at for additional registration information. There are no course fees for Ontario students. 

Registration for eClass Online Learning Summer School 

All students can register for our summer school eClass Online Learning courses starting on Tuesday, May 5th. Cancelled eClass Online Learning courses will be posted by Friday, June 26. Students can register for up to a maximum of three new eClass Online Learning credit courses this summer (for example: two online courses during July session and one online course during August session). Due to the workload of each course, we recommend students only register for one course per session. 

Students are expected to log in on a daily basis and may spend a minimum of 3 hours per course per day.

* Please note: Career Studies (GLC 2O3) and Civics and Citizenship (CHV 2O3) are two separate half credit courses. Each half credit course follow the same timelines as a new credit course, therefore students are expected to participate in each half credit course for the entire month. Students interested in these half credit courses must register in these courses separately.

* Please note: You must have completed and have a successful mark in the prerequisite course (if applicable) to apply for a new eClass Online Learning credit course.

Note*: There will be NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION.

  2. Email your completed registration form to your day school guidance counsellor or vice-principal/principal. We recommend that you submit your registration form before Friday, June 19 to allow for time to process your form. 
  3. Once your registration form has been processed by your guidance counsellor or vice-principal/principal, you will receive an automated message from Continuing Ed. This is your confirmation receipt that you have been registered successfully. Mary Ward students: Please check with your guidance counsellor or vice-principal/principal for course completion and available credit courses.

Registration Procedures: NON-TCDSB Students


This is a course request registration site. By entering this site you are submitting a request to be considered for registration. You are not officially registered into the course until you have submitted the necessary paper work. An acceptance to register email will only be sent to your provided email address if we have space to accommodate you into the course that you have requested. 


We are only offering eClass Online Learning this summer. When registering you will be presented with the following options:

Current TCDSB students CANNOT register online.  
Online registration is only for NON-TCDSB students.
